What is CDB Oil?

CBD, cannabidiol or cannabis oil, as it’s otherwise known, is a liquid extracted from the cannabis plant family. There are many chemicals within the cannabis or cannabis sativa plant and these are called cannabinoids. Two of the most well-known are THC and CBD.

THC is the psychoactive chemical that produces a ‘high’. CBD however, is not known to cause psychoactive effects but has been shown to have many health benefits. CBD oil can be taken as a food supplement but is not a medicine.

If you’d like to find out more, please refer to our Blog About CBD Oil for more information on cannabidiol oil and how it could help you.

What is the Difference Between Hemp Oil and CBD Oil?

Comparing hemp oil vs. CBD oil, the key difference is that the two products come from different parts of the hemp plant. Hemp oil comes from the seeds, and CBD oil can come from stems, leaves and flowers. Read More Here.

Is CBD Oil Legal?

CBD is legal to buy and sell in the UK, as long as it is derived from one of the 63 industrial hemp strains that have been EU-approved. To be legal for sale in the UK, it must not contain more than 0.2% of the illegal and psychoactive THC compound, which must not be easily separated from the CBD oil. Find out more in our Blog.

How Do I Know If I’ve Bought From A Reputable Supplier?

We believe that buying the right CBD oil matters, so we’ve put together this short guide in our blog

Can CBD Oil Get You ‘High’?

No, CBD oil won’t get you high or cause any psychoactive effects. You can find out more in our Blog.

THC is the psychoactive chemical in the cannabis (aka marijuana or hemp) plant which is responsible for creating a high. Cannabis plants containing high levels of THC are illegal in the UK. The hemp plants which are harvested to create our CBD oil contain only traces of THC (less than 0.2%) which will not have any effect and is completely legal.

What is the Percentage Strength of Your CBD Oil?

We go into this in much more detail in our Blog, but We don’t advertise our CBD oil with a percentage strength. We believe it can cause confusion with products from other suppliers. Some suppliers state a percentage which relates to the amount of hemp oil in their products, rather than the actual percentage of CBD.

Our products are made from cannabidiol (CBD) distillate, which is highly refined. Some suppliers use hemp oil, which isn’t refined and contains plant oils that dilute the strength of the CBD and produce a poor flavour. As a result, percentages stated on their packaging may not directly relate to the amount of CBD (e.g. 5% doesn’t necessarily mean the product contains 500mg of CBD).

We are extremely passionate about our products, and have worked to ensure that they are stronger, better value and taste a lot better than other similar products on the market.

Which Strength Should I Choose?

The effects of CBD oil can vary from person to person but it’s usually best to start off with a lower strength to see how that works for you and then you can increase the dosage or change to a higher strength if you feel it is required.

Many customers choose to start at 200mg, however you may wish to opt for our 50mg version if you want to try out the different flavours. Our excellent value 50mg multipack deal offers a lower price on bottles and allows you to choose three different flavours.

If you’ve used CBD oil before or feel that you may need a stronger dose, then you may prefer to go straight to our 400mg strength CBD tongue drops.

We recommend taking two drops a day initially, then you can increase the amount of drops you take (up to 15 per day) if you feel that it’s needed.

CBD does not have any psychoactive effects; however you may find that CBD oil makes you feel a little tired or sleepy. Will CBD Oil Show Up in a Drugs Test?

Different drugs tests may look for different substances, however CBD wouldn’t normally be tested for in a drugs test as it is legal and doesn’t have any psychoactive effects.

Most tests look for THC which is only present in very trace amounts in CBD products (less than 0.2%) so, unless you’re taking a high quantity of CBD at very high concentration and the tests are looking for THC in the blood, it wouldn’t trigger a positive result.
